Babysitting!

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been a while since Bethanie and me have posted :( Although the amount of pictures we have taken has not lessened at all!

I don't know how many people really know this but Bethanie and Me are wimps! Everything scares us. With Beth, she freaks out and wants someone to hold her hand (basically). With me, I swallow my fear and try to face it, cause I don't want to be a wimp.

Bethanie was babysitting two little kids and when it was time for them to go to bed Beth didn't want to be left alone with the kids asleep. It was dark outside and she tends to have a big imagination. She was freaking herself out. So like a wonderful, heroic, and kind big sister I came and kept her company. With food, chocolate, and a camera!

We took a bunch of pictures on the floor because when we tried to sit on the couch we couldn't hold still so we were all over the floor instead.

Ya know, when you take enough pictures, you're bound to have a few that turn out really good!

The Movies!!!

All the older kids that live at home went to the movies with mom and dad. We went to go see TAKEN. We all thought it was pretty fun and of course everyone thought Bethanie and Me were weird for taking pictures and having fun.

All of us, for the most part I think, had fun! I'm pretty sure we all like the movie to a degree, I thought it was pretty good the action and the acting just parts of the story were not quite to my liking.

Then Bethanie and me decided to go back and watch PUSH. It was a little weird but overall pretty good. We had a lot of fun just going somewhere together.

Here's a good story for the whole escapade. Whenever we go to megaplex Bethanie loves to run up the down escalater. And let me tell you it is always the funniest thing! She starts out with so much energy and goes plowing up those stairs and then just over halfway up her legs want to give up cause they aren't making much progress. It always takes her twice as long to get up the last little bit and it is a sight to see :)

We love doing stuff together and being crazy and weird. And usually Bethanie is all dressed up and looks like a doll and then I go in my pajamas and I'm lucky if my hair is combed.

CHOCOLATE Shopping!

This idea is mine, and I'll take complete credit for it. This is something only two people have done with me, cause they're special. It would be, obviously, Bethanie. And my very bestestestest friend ever Rachel. The idea is chocolate shopping. And even though I'm not a major chocolate eater, it is fun. Maybe I'm weird but even if I'm not a chocolate person, when a girl is depressed there are two major therapies. One is chocolate, even just looking at it. And the other is Shopping/spending money. It just works perfectly together!

I just had a thought, my mother is special enough to come chocolate shopping with me. Although I'm not sure how she would take it. She would say she shouldn't eat that stuff, and she would probably think I was weird for wanting to spend the money.

Okay we didn't end up buying this but it was to good to pass up a picture. . . Well, Bethanie thought so :)

A Sister's Paradise

Guess what everyone! We did it again! I don't think Bethanie have more fun doing anything else! Okay maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration, but just a little :)

Usually Beth and me love starting with the HATS! But like any normal girls shoes are just as good. And also like any normal girls, we picked everything with heels on it. Bethanie's personal favorite was the shiny blue and pink heels. Mostly because of the way we arranged our feet. Although I have to admit it looks pretty good, and I'll give Bethanie full credit for this idea.

Next we went on to pretty gold and silver prom shoes! It took us a bit to figure out how we wanted to pose for this one, and in the end.... Well I don't think it turned out to bad. Kinda cute actually.

And of course Bethanie and me couldn't resist some killer heels! I think the look is ridiculous, but maybe that's just me.

Haha now this one was my idea! I decided we needed to find the coolest stilettos in the store and do a model pose. I always thought it was funny when people did, what they call, sexy shots. And since we decided to make fun of them, we figured out that it was extremely fun to see what we could do. Maybe that's why girls pose like that.... cause it's just plain fun!

Bethanie wanted a little variety after all the heels so we found some really comfortable (and weird looking).... I'm not sure what you call them.

Then we moved on to a couple of different things. From trying to look weird to trying to look cool!

We thought it was pretty funny to take pictures of ourselves in a mirror and they turned out pretty funny too. Well this one did at least.

I've never been sure what these things are supposed to be. They are like tubes that just hang from the ceiling. Seems kind of pointless to me, but what do I know! I was the one who walked right past it and Bethanie had to stop and get inside it. Bethanie starts laughing and calls me over and says get inside with me! Just as she says it a little family of three walks by staring at both of us like we're crazy... Well, I guess we kind of are. Anyway, really tight squeeze but it ended up being a blast!

Car Wash

So In Case anybody hasn't noticed Bethanie and Me are a little weird. A few days ago we were in the car with Jon ( he was running some errands for my mother ) And I was completely prepared with my handy dandy camera. We took pictures of each other and were having a wonderful time.

At one point we went to drop something off at Iceberg for Ben and Bethanie was making faces at the camera that I was holding. At one point she put her face right up against the window, which by the way was covered in dirt and who knows what else, and gave a kiss for the camera. Forgive my reflection in the window :)

We thought we were finally winding down when Jonathan pulled into a CAR WASH!!!!

Bethanie and Me like the wonderful sisters we are started screaming. We were so excited to go into that car wash!!! We were so happy that we had that camera!

Jonathan just thought that we were the strangest people on the planet, which we probably are. but being the best brother in the world played along a little bit with us.

It was probably the most exciting three minutes of our lives! We couldn't stop laughing until we pulled into the Walmart parking. Although when we got out of the car and inspected how nice Jon's car now looked Bethanie realized that while all that dirt and grime was washed away her lip gloss was still perfectly intact right on Jon's window!

I never really believed those commercials about long lasting lip gloss, Ha guess I know better now!

Opposites

So I decided I should probably explain more of what's going on with our blog. And especially what opposite means with us.

We decided to make this blog for fun but we have never done anything like this before so it's taking us a little bit to figure out how to do some things. So first of all we're gonna need your patience, a lot of what we do will probably seem juvenile but hopefully it will get more creative as we figure it out.

As for what makes Bethanie and me so opposite, maybe it would be easier to give you some examples. While making this blog and trying to decide what to do Bethanie would suggest something and I would say, "Are you serious, that doesn't even look good" And when trying to choose a title I came up with a lot of different things but Bethanie was sticking to her guns, wanting other titles. Eliminating the Differences was one we both mostly agreed on.

People would probably get a kick out of going to the store with us. We wander around and if Bethanie saw something big, gaudy, or weird she gets excited. "Oh my goodness! Look Mel isn't that just awesome or cute!" And I would give her a look plainly telling her she has no taste in that kind of stuff. Or when looking at earrings I would say, "Aren't those beautiful!" And Bethanie would reply, "They're nice, but they're really small." Which I would quickly retort that they are not!

Bethanie described it once as she is more "Bling Bling, look at me" and that I'm more "Reserved, elegant". Haha whatever that means :) Which works in our taste in music as well. Bethanie is more head banging, rock music type. Whereas, I like uplifting, more inspirational music. Bethanie blasts three day's grace or Linkin Park and I sit there and tell her Linkin Park is to angry with too much screaming. Right now she is getting angry at me for writing that it is screaming!

The point is that no matter how much we disagree at the store it doesn't stop us from asking each other to go with us. Or that no matter what music we like I still go into her room just to be with her. And no matter what we like to wear we still ask for opinions and try to lift each other up. I LOVE spending time with my sister! For all our differences we get along like the best of friends.
